I had the pleasure of photographing Delwyn and Marcus’ wedding on the 4th January 2012. My first wedding for 2012 and it was a stunner! Delwyn and Marcus both currently live in Sydney and first contacted me saying “we hope you are like us and head back home over Christmas and can photograph our wedding”. These guys were heading home to get married in Wellington at the always beautiful Boomrock in Ohariu. I was thrilled they asked me if this was an option as I do often head back to Wellington to visit family, friends and especially to photograph weddings and I want to continue to service Wellington for Wedding Photography.
I must admit it was odd not having met this couple prior to the rehearsal, the day before the wedding. With them being in Sydney and me in Melbourne all our communciation had been via email and the occasional stalking on facebook. Once I met them, however, I knew instantly that this was going to be a great wedding. It was as if we had already known each other, we all instantly got on and I was really drawn to their casual and relaxed, happy attitudes. On the day Delwyn gave me pre-warning that Marcus doesn’t smile for the camera however what was really lovely was that when he was with Delwyn the smiles were just so natural. It was evident to me and everyone else attending their wedding that these two are so in love and it just goes to show that they are meant to be together. Delwyn’s 50’s styled theme suited her perfectly as she really is a classic beauty and I was very lucky to have such great settings to be able to feature her in at the Museum Hotel in Wellington prior to the wedding ceremony and Boomrock for the wedding itself. I hope you enjoy this preview of their wedding images.
